Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Night Auditor /Front Desk Agent to join our team. The suitable candidate plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel. This position involves managing front desk responsibilities, conducting audits of daily financial transactions, and providing exceptional guest services. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a friendly demeanor, excellent customer service skills, attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. The position will have full time hours during the summer busy season.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome.
- Handle reservations, check-ins, check-outs.
- Must be able to accurately handle cash transactions.
- Good communication skills and multi-tasking skills is essential to this position.
- Handle difficult situations with minimum supervision.
- Be able to work independently and as a team.
- Attention to detail very important
- Be a creative thinker and think outside the box
- Prepare the daily night audit proceedings and system back-ups.
- Audit, balance and report on all cash and credit operations to include but not limited to over/short figures, deposits, counts, house charges, postings, etc. and reset all registers to ensure accurate, timely information.
- Ensure any discrepancies are reported and brought to the attention of the Front Office Manager/Operations Manager
- Prepare and input statistics and income journal sheets for preparation of daily reports.
- Balance and close all bank ticket codes, daily.
- Assist in taking and placing wake-up calls, as needed.
- Perform the duties of Guest Service Agent including check in/check out
- Have thorough knowledge of emergency and front office procedures.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of guests and staff during the overnight period.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Police clearance report will be required at the time of hire

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 20 per week
