Michel Sarrazin Award
To celebrate the 300th anniversary of Michel Sarrazin, ACFO Mille-Îles presents a special award at regional science fairs. This award recognizes excellence in spoken and written French, as well as a high level of scientific achievement. It is open to Francophone students (one award per category: primary, junior, intermediate, senior) and French immersion students (one award for all categories).
Vice-Versa Micro-Grant Program
The Vice-Versa Micro-Grant Program (Community School Citizen Support Fund) encourages partnerships between Francophone community organizations in minority situations and French-language schools, while allowing students (from kindergarten to grade 12) to be at the heart of the reflection, choice, implementation, and evaluation of funded projects.
We are proud to have collaborated with several schools in developing their community projects, notably with Cité-Jeunesse Public Elementary School and Marc-Garneau Public Secondary School on their ESMG Media project.
The ESMG Media project encourages students to develop various types of digital content in French to raise awareness in their community about the realities of their schools. This project is expanding and continues to engage many students from both schools. Participants develop skills related to media, teamwork, and communication, while creating videos about the military community of Trenton and the role these schools play in welcoming these communities.
