Apprenticeship Training

Apprenticeship is a path to a rewarding career in the trades. As an apprentice, you will take courses and learn your trade by working under the guidance of experienced workers, all while being paid.
We can help you understand the eligibility criteria, find a sponsor or employer, or obtain funding to help pay for your training and tools needed for your apprenticeship.

Resource Center

Our resource center is available every day. It’s a welcoming, quiet space where you can access computers, the internet/Wi-Fi, printers, a fax machine, photocopier, phones, and a space for interviews—all free of charge.

Best Jobs Ontario: Explore Free Training Programs

If you are struggling to find stable employment, the Best Jobs Ontario program could be a good option. After completing an initial assessment, an employment counselor will provide you with information about the services and training opportunities offered by the Best Jobs Ontario program. This counselor can also assist you in considering a career change and securing financial support. Since April 29, 2022, the program has been expanded to help those facing difficulties in finding stable work, such as casual workers, youth, and social assistance recipients.

You may be eligible if:

  • You’ve been laid off and are unemployed or working a temporary job to cover your costs, or
  • You’ve been unemployed for six months or more and are from a low-income household
  • You can also apply if you are receiving Employment Insurance (EI) benefits, Ontario Works (OW), or the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)
