Clinical Assistant
Role & Responsibilities:
Clinical Assistant is responsible for the following:
Ø Scheduling of appointments
Ø Liaising with patients, referral physicians, other clinic staff/departments
Ø Manage all incoming calls, messages and return phone calls promptly
Ø Complete medical documentation as required
Ø Manage all incoming and outgoing faxes
Ø Charting of all patient information and procedures
Ø Included in rotation for Lidocaine Clinic days
Ø Coverage for sick/vacation leave when required
Ø Management of clinic days inclusive of:
· Prepare rooms for receiving patients
· Escort patients to exam rooms and take vital signs
· Ensure all consent forms are signed
· Arrange imaging, prescriptions and referrals to other clinics
· Ensure clinic rooms are clean and organized after each patient
· Sterilization of probes
· Laundry when necessary
· Stocking of supplies at nurses station and procedure rooms
Ø May also be required to assist Dr’s with ultrasound procedures
Clinical Assistants manage and organize physician’s clinics under direction of the Physician. Assistants must be computer literate with a vast knowledge of MS Word, Excel & email. They must be able to work well under pressure and under strict timelines, have strong communication skills, morals and ethics with a commitment to patient privacy. They must be professional, able to work well independently and in a team environment and have a positive attitude.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
