POSITION TITLE: Receptionist/Support Staff

BASIC FUNCTION: The Receptionist/Support Staff is responsible for office administration at the Glenburnie, Ontario location of Terra Nova Truss. Applicants for this role must be able to provide strong customer service and staff support.

JOB TYPE: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM)

COMPENSATION: $20.00-25.00 per hour (depending on experience)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Greets and welcomes guests, directing visitors to the appropriate members of staff.
  • Answers, screens, and directs incoming phone calls.
  • Provides basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email.
  • Ensures reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
  • Receives deliveries and organizes paperwork appropriately.
  • Assists with scheduling customer pickups.
  • Keeps updated records of office expenses and costs.
  • Performs clerical duties such as filing and photocopying.
  • Inputs projects into quoting program and prepares quotes for projects.
  • Managing customer payments and invoices in accordance with TNT policy.
  • Verifies delivery dates and details with customers.
  • Prepares delivery packages for projects.
  • Assists with COVID-19 protocols when applicable.
  • Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional disposition in both written and verbal correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and possess the ability to develop work relationships with customers.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in general office etiquette, legible handwriting, and telephone manners.
  • Working knowledge of office machinery, computers, and business and word processing software including the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Professional attitude and appearance with a focus on customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively resolve issues and organize work.
  • High school graduate, additional certification in Office Management is an asset.
  • Applicants must have the ability to commute to Glenburnie, Ontario. This is an in-person position.
