The ACFOMI Employment Services provides bilingual services to job seekers who want to integrate the labour market and/or reorient their career. It also provides job seekers with information on various programs and subsidies offered by the MAESD. Our Employment Services team is dedicated to ensuring that both Anglophone and Francophone youth and adults find work that meet their expectations.

Effective job-search tools and strategies:
Assistance in resume writing and updating in French and English
Assistance in cover and thank you letters writing in French and English
Access to techniques and coaching to perform well in an interview
Access to career guidance and training/development services
Assistance and support in your endeavours with individual consultations


The ACFOMI Employment Services provides bilingual recruitment services for employers wishing to receive
personalized services to indentify candidates that meet their recruitment needs.

Employers will also receive information on various programs and subsidies offered by the MAESD:

Partnership to create jobs

Immigrant Services

ACFOMI Immigrant Services are offered by the Association canadienne-française de l’Ontario – Conseil régional des Mille-Îles and funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, which means all services are free to the
client. ACFOMI-Immigrant Services assists newcomers to Kingston in their settlement and employment process.

ACFOMI-Immigrant Sertvices goal is to offer quality French services in Kingston Area. If the new comer’s language choice is French, they will be happy to know that they can obtain services in French. All our services are offered in Canada’s two official languages and we can also serve clients in Portuguese and Spanish.

Immigrants can contact ACFOMI Immigrant Services to schedule an appointment with a Settlement Agent.
A complete Resource Centre with computers, Internet access, phones, fax, photocopier and reference documents are at your disposal.

The Settlement Agent provides immigrants with personal accompaniment and representation when searching for
information on housing, healthcare, financial, social and legal services and orientation in the community. Also offering assistance in interpretation of documents and forms as well as finding schools for children and adult courses to learn one of the official languages. Counseling and support is given during the entire settlement process.
